There is a saying that you can't sell anything if you are not visible. To an extent, it is quite correct. You really have got great pages, contents, products and services on your website/blog and people have to see them, reach them while searching on the net. Take for example you open a candy shop and no one know about it or seen it before, automatically no one would walk in. This becomes a big problem because you can't sell anything. Ever wonder after taking out your precious time to churn out some beautiful articles to your online audience but the post or pages involved are not indexed.? This can be frustrating right and at same time disappointed from all your efforts that you put together to create a nice article.
Some of us out their might feel this is a big issue. Of course its an issue that needs to be addressed . But let's pause a moment and take a deep breathe, then throw our hat to the ring, and ask this simple question " why is Google not indexing my page's?. Have you ever tried finding out? Well, as simple as the question is their is answer to that.
If you want your site to show up in the search results at all, then it needs to be indexed.
There are many reasons Google will not index some pages on your site but before we delve into that it behoves me to say that your website is probably indexed if is not a new site. On the flip side, your site might not been indexed because its a new site.
One of the reasons is probably Google hasn't found your site or blog yet. It could be that you have not created your sitemap, and it isn't working. If you don't equally have a sitemap.xml. Google might not index your pages. It is imperative that every website have a sitemap. xml. This is a gateway for Google to follow to index your pages. You have to make sure this is fix.
-Crawl errors
One big determinant factor for your pages to be indexed is if Google can't crawl them. Yes' you heard me right. If Google can't crawl them then your pages are likely not to be indexed. Although, it can see them but can't crawl them.
For the records, for your site to generate or drive traffic from Google organically, Google must index your site. The bad news is that no one would be able to see your content or find it organically . Hence, its not present in Googles index search.
To get the flow of every fight you must target the root. In other words before tackling a problem you must first know what the problem is and the possible solution to apply.
Consequently, to identify these crawl errors you have to go to Google webmaster tools.
-Select your site
-Click on"Crawl"
-Click on crawl errors"
-Your site doesn't load fast
Nobody like something that would give him or her stress. Human beings are wired in such a way that we tend to lose interest / patient over something if it isn't going on fast. Nobody would want to be visiting a site that takes eternity to load a page. Google on the other hand detest a page that doesn't load fast. Your pages may not be indexed if google crawler notice this issue.
How to get indexed by Google
Why is my blog posts isn’t indexed in Google? Try this:
- 1. Go to Google Search Console
- 2. Navigate to the URL inspection tool
- 3. Paste the URL you’d like Google to index into the search bar.
- 4. Wait for Google to check the URL
- 5. Click the “Request indexing” button
1. Create a facebook page and add your link on the profile.
2. Create a Twitter/Pinterest account and do same.
3. Share snippets of your pages posts to all these accounts.
4. Create a Google my business listings and add your site link to your page profile.
P.S: This is also the fastest way to index any page you want to just make sure you've submitted your site map to google search console(GSC.)
